ticky Date Pudding 31/5/11
The sticky date tasted amazing!!!
It was a sucess, when we were mixing the flour, brown sugar with the butter it wasn't blending because the butter was too hard. We then zapped it in the microwave for 20secs (too long) and it all melted and wasn't all nice and fluffy like it was supposed to be. It still turned out delicious, nothing wrong with the textures, it was just an extra sticky Sticky Date. It smelt like butter and sweet brown sugar. It was moist and the butter scotch sauce was a smooth velvety contrast. They were taking a while to cook so we swapped ovens and that sped up the progess heaps! It look fantastic in the end, the small rich brown puddings lathered in golden butter scotch sauce. We managed not to burn them and just got them cooked on time after the switching of the ovens. The overall product as ultra sweet, that melted in your mouth. I was really rich and you couldn't have more than one and a half before you reached the point where you felt slightly queasy. I think one scoop of ice cream would have topped it off. The only thing i'll change is to zap the butter in the microwave for five minutes at a time and not to listen to meaghan. Overall it was a sucess and tasted brilliant.

Satay Chicken 7/4/2011
Hello i liked it, it was goood:) YAY!!!
The Satay Chicken is our first success for 2011 and is hopefully the beginning of more successful dishes. Nothing was burnt, blown up, and it actutally looked similar to the image on the recipe!! The taste was amazing too, it wasn't too spicey or not spicey enough. We got all of the portions correct for the first time as well:). A few vegtables were added to give it more flavour and colour. To make it even better next time we could add different sorts of vegies and serve it on rice but otherwise i don't think there are too many improvements to be made. It ended up tasting amazing with all the different flavours of the peanut butter combined with the herbs spices gave a delicious taste to the chicken and the hint of chilly giving it that extra zing. The crunchie textures of the peanuts and softness of the vegies and sauce was a great contast, making eating it intersing. Not only did it taste goo it also looked great but would have looked even better served on rice. The aroma could be smelt from a mile away, nutty and salty.

Pea and pasta frittata with prosciutto

It tasted extremely gross and eggy, every mouthful made me retch. If we had have washed the raw egg off all of the pasta it would have tasted slightly better. The apperance was quite good, I thoughht it looked quite appertising and all of the colours went together very well. It wouldn't have been the same without the prosciutto of top as the garnish.

It was not very sucessful, it was a bit of a fail. the presentation was alright but it tasted really gross-as good as spaghetti covered in raw egg tastes!
We didn't measure out the pasta which impacted the whole dish, there was too much pasta and not enough egg to combine it to make it into a frittata. Next time we will definitly make sure we measure out everything and do exacally what the recipe says. We were meant to have 100g of pasta instead we put the whole packet in, measuring the pasta would improve it imeansly.
Eating our appetizer was not a pleasurable experience, not somrthing you'd wish even on your worst enemy! The taste was too eggy, the tezture too slimy and the thought of eating raw egg damped the whole experience
